About This Package

4 Days Saigon + Mui Ne Beach Resort (2 Nights Mui Ne)

This four-day package gives Mui Ne what most Vietnam tours don't: two full nights, which means you actually experience the sand dune landscape at the right time — a 04:45 departure for the White Sand Dunes at dawn, when the dunes shift colour from pale grey to gold to orange before the heat of the day makes them uncomfortable. The ATV ride, the fishing village, the Fairy Stream walk, and the Red Sand Dunes at sunset on the same day fill Mui Ne completely.

Mui Ne is located on the south coast of Vietnam, approximately 3.5 hours northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, in Binh Thuan Province. The coastline gets more sun than almost anywhere else in Vietnam — over 300 days per year — because the Truong Son mountain range deflects most weather systems before they reach the coast. This makes Mui Ne one of the most reliably sunny beach destinations in Southeast Asia.

Saigon on day three is a manageable city tour after the beach days: the War Remnants Museum (the most visited museum in Vietnam, documenting the American War from the Vietnamese perspective), Independence Palace (the Reunification Palace where the Communist tanks famously crashed through the gates in April 1975), Notre Dame Cathedral, and the 19th-century General Post Office. The evening on Nguyen Hue Street — Ho Chi Minh City's main pedestrian boulevard — and the Café Apartment block at number 42 (a six-storey building where every apartment is a different café) offer the modern Saigon experience.

What Makes This Trip

Why This 4-Day Saigon Mui Ne Package Stands Apart

Mui Ne White Sand Dunes sunrise ATV ride Vietnam

White Sand Dunes Sunrise — 04:45 Departure

The White Sand Dunes (Bau Trang) sit 25 kilometres north of Mui Ne town, in a landscape that looks unlike anything else in Vietnam — a genuine desert with white quartz sand dunes rising to 20–30 metres, flanked by small lakes. The pre-dawn departure (04:45) is timed so the jeep arrives before sunrise, when the dunes are cool underfoot and the light on the white sand shifts through lavender, pink, and gold. By 8am the dunes are too hot for comfortable walking. The ATV ride (2 persons per vehicle) covers the full extent of the dune field.

Fairy Stream red clay canyon Mui Ne Vietnam Suoi Tien

Fairy Stream — Red Clay Canyon Walk

The Fairy Stream (Suoi Tien) is a shallow stream flowing through a narrow canyon of deep red and yellow laterite clay, with jungle overhanging the canyon walls. The walk is ankle-deep through the stream — bare feet, the water cool and clear. The canyon walls get progressively taller as you go deeper in, with carved-looking formations of red clay. The contrast between the red canyon, the emerald water, and the vivid green tropical plants above is completely distinctive and unlike any other landscape in Vietnam. A 30-minute walk in and back.

Mui Ne traditional fishing village coracle boats Vietnam

Mui Ne Fishing Village — Traditional Junk Harbour

Mui Ne's traditional fishing village is one of the most visually striking in Southern Vietnam: hundreds of traditional round woven bamboo coracles (thung chai) tied up along the shore, brightly painted junk boats at anchor, and colourful nets laid out to dry on the beach. The village wakes at sunrise and operates as a working fishing community rather than a tourist site — you walk through a real harbour at work. The catch comes in before dawn and is sold at the adjacent wet market by mid-morning.

Saigon Ho Chi Minh City War Museum Independence Palace Vietnam

Saigon City Tour — War Museum & Independence Palace

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) on day three covers the city's most significant historical sites: the War Remnants Museum (graphic documentation of the American War from the Vietnamese perspective — one of the most visited museums in Vietnam), Independence Palace (preserved exactly as it was in April 1975 when Communist tanks drove through the gate — the building where South Vietnam's leadership fell), Notre Dame Cathedral (1880 French Gothic), and the General Post Office (1891 colonial post office, still operating, with Ho Chi Minh's portrait replacing the colonial-era central clock). Evening: Nguyen Hue pedestrian boulevard and 42 Nguyen Hue Café Apartment Block.
